New network is resource to bring bisexual folk together
Cleveland-What is the Cleveland Bisexual Network?
The network is an attempt to bring together bi-folk in the Cleveland area for socializing, community-building, and political and social activism. We hope to connect bifolk to local, regional, national, and international resources, while facilitating the existence of a varied and diverse local bi community.
Who is welcome?
The short answer? Anyone! The bisexual community itself has been subject to "rules of exclusion" much too frequently to want to redirect these biases at anyone else. Although some organizations associated with the Cleveland Bisexual Network may exist as safe spaces specifically for bi-folk, or for individuals of a certain gender, the network itself is welcoming of all bi-friendly individuals, regardless of personal orientation.
Additionally, we understand that "bi" or "bisexual" may not be the label of choice for many people who recognize attractions to persons of varied genders. We welcome people who choose personal identifiers other than "bi," as well as those who choose not to accept a specific identifier.

We also want to organize local events and discussions, as dictated by members' interests.
